“Ellie” says: “I am very impressed with Dr Whittingslow’s approach for
Suboxone/Subutex treatment. He is very attentive; spending about two
hours with me in our first visit and approximately an hour every follow-up
appointment. I have never felt rushed to get out of his office so he can see
his next patient. I think he offers a great balance of allowing patients the
autonomy to ultimately make their own treatment plan while still offering the
gentle but informative guidance that we, as recovering addicts, all need
from such an informed and experienced doctor. I have never been treated
with anything other than respect and compassion by Dr Whittingslow and
Mindy, unlike some of my past experience with other doctors. He has also
made every effort to alleviate some of the financial pressures of paying for
prescriptions, since I have no insurance or pharmacy coverage; this has
saved me upwards of $100 per month in prescription cost. Dr Whittingslow
has encouraged me to ween myself off at the pace at which I feel most
comfortable. When he found out how fast I have successfully been
reducing my dosage over the past year or two, he congratulated me and
encouraged me to continue towards my goal of completely getting off the
Suboxone. EVERY other doctor I have seen over the past couple of years
has had the opposite reaction; telling me instead to slow down or to even
suggest that I not even worry about getting off Suboxone totally (which
seems to me an obvious effort to keep me coming back to them). In all his
actions, Dr Whittingslow has proven to me that he has high ethical and
practical standards for himself; I am very impressed with all that he has to
offer as an opiate treatment doctor and I highly encourage other recovering
addicts to call and schedule an appointment today!”
"Jack" says: "I was glad I found Dr. Ed Whittingslow to help me with a
health matter that needed attention. When you make an appointment,
you do not have to wait with a lot of others in a waiting room, you are
pretty much seen as soon as you arrive. My first visit went without any
problems, paperwork at first. Then when the doctor comes in, he takes the
time to listen to your concerns, ALL of your concerns!.. and he CARES! It's
not like going to another Dr.'s office, where you are treated as just a
number and are in and out within all of maybe 5-minutes with the actual
doctor. Dr. Ed is very caring and compassionate, and will help in any way
he can and will take as much time as needed to get to the bottom of the
issue. When it comes to following up after your appointment, he will either
ask you to call him directly, or he will call you. I will continue to see Dr Ed.
for as long as he is in practice. Thank you, Dr. Whittingslow."
